On Sundays I reflect.
I didn’t drink alcohol this week. I’m feeling extremely grateful for my sobriety these days.
I accomplished some impressive things recently. I almost fucked this one up, but I successfully used a tape measure and got a dresser that fits in my room. I used two wrenches at the studio to reconfigure some gas lines. Then the dresser arrived and I used a screwdriver to assemble it. My friend Krysta came to help, but I did get pretty far on my own.
That was probably the project that sent me to the chiropractor, but it’s hard to say. Thankfully my back has settled down, and I’m really feeling like an adult.
There was a bit of driving this week for work, which happened to be some of the nicest and most interesting clients I have driven. One of them is a professional athlete and another invited me into her condo to see her art collection. Primarily she showed me her Earl Biss collection, an artist who was recently brought to my attention by a friend.
Most of the rest of the week was spent prepping and getting ready for the residency happening at the studio this week. Things are coming together and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead!
Thanks in advance to friends and supporters hosting artists this week, providing meals, and helping to bring this collaboration to life. I’ve mentioned recently the evolving Vail art scene, and this residency feels like a big step on top of the momentum we’ve been seeing recently.
Make sure to tune in on Instagram for updates along the way, and next week’s blog will have a recap of the beginning of our time together. If you are interested in acquiring the new work feel free to reach out to me about opportunities to support.
Thank you for tuning in and enjoy your Sunday.
