Join us at Bat Country Studios in Minturn just 10 minutes from Vail Colorado, to explore glassblowing, clay and painting lessons and workshops! Whether you have no experience at all or are looking to improve your skills to the next level, our team of experienced instructors are here to help. 

Glass Blowing

We specialize in borosilicate flameworking using propane and oxygen fueled torches to melt and manipulate glass using physics and graphite tools. This is not a 'hot shop' or what you have scene on "Blown Away" but more like scientific lab glassblowing in an artistic application.

Introductory Class: Our introduction to flameworking class begins with a 2 hour session in which students will me an ornament, marble, or swizzle stick. For first timers we will provide orientation to equipment and allow some exploratory time to get a feeling for how the glass moves when heated in the flame. 

The 2nd step Class: After completing the introductory class participants will have the opportunity to expand on their skills and make a more involved project in our 2nd step class. In this class students will collaborate with their instructor to making a wine glass! You will make and design the glass' stem, choosing colors and patterns with your instructor there to help along the way. Once your stem is finished your instructor will assemble the foot and top onto your stem to complete the project.

*All glass objects will be annealed in the kiln overnight and will be available to be picked up or shipped the day after your class* must be 18+ to participate in glass blowing classes *

Clay

Our brand new clay studio features two wheels and space for hand building pinch pot, coil pots and more. We offer a variety of glazes and will handle kiln firing after your class. 

We can offer 1 on 1 or group classes to fit your needs with classes available to all ages. Whether your kid wants to get their hands muddy or you want to take your skills to the next level our instructors are excited to work with any and all skill levels and can design projects are your skills and interests. 

Painting

 whether you are Vincent van Goh's nephew or just want to finger paint we've got you covered. We can do watercolor, acrylic and oil. Work 1 on 1 with and instructor to get help with your project or book a group class with your friends. Join us for a session at the studio or book us for your private event or venue.
