Sunday 8/25/24

August 25, 2024

On Sundays I reflect.

I didn’t drink alcohol this week. It still feels great every week that I can write that here.

Last Sunday was one of the most exciting days of my life. I went over to Evergreen for the show at Ubatuba’s and got wrangled into helping Taffy pull tubing from the furnace. It was my first time doing this, and was one of the hottest and largest scale projects I’ve ever been involved in. Thanks to Alex Ubatuba for hosting, and to Taffy and Jack for being great teammates.

The rest of the week was full of driving and meetings. I got in a few quick sessions on the torch at my studio as well, still working on fun small projects and some prep for bigger stuff ahead.

We hosted our weekly open studio for artists this week and began planning our next big event coming up in just 3 weeks. We will be offering a night of art workshops on Friday September 13 and will be sharing more details soon. We hope to see some of you here!

Today we have the Vail Market all day where I’ll be hanging out with Red Cliff Stan and Matty B. The weather looks clear thankfully but we’re starting to get to fall temperature and I’m getting excited about ski season again.

I’ve been sitting here for a few minutes enjoying the early morning air outside on my deck and trying to decide what else to share here with you. I wish I had more energy this early, but I’m again feeling the pressure to get ready and head to town for the market.

As always enjoy your Sunday and thanks for tuning in.

BB
