On Sundays I reflect.
I had a beer last night with Gina and Michael. We got to have dinner together the last two nights. It’s rare that I get to spend time with my friends and also not be at work. We even found a way to talk about something other than glass, even if only for a few minutes.
Today is the Denver Cup Collectors Club - Dude, Where’s My Cup? At Purple Haze in Englewood from 2-5PM. I’m so excited to get down there this morning and see everyone this afternoon. We’re bringing the whole crew; Me and Marta, Red Cliff Stan, Gracie and NüBen. Eric and Chris will meet us there for setup and Burtoni and Calm will be blowing glass today at the party!
Special shoutout to Chris Aubut from Purple Haze for planning the show with our teams, Polar Provisions, Yerba Star, From NY, Workbench Dining, WillCookYou, OLDGREED, Soiku Bano, George Hashington, Dialed In, Bubbas Cheesecake and probably more that I am too distracted to recall from the car.
Check out some press for the event our friend Kat published in Leaf Magazine: https://leafmagazines.com/culture/drinking-vessels-making-your-cup-collection-heady/
Yesterday was our first Minturn Market of the Summer and Stan put on a hell of a show. It feels great to have the support of a team allowing us to participate in more community events. We hope some of you can make it up for a Saturday Market in our special town.
The rest of the week we spent preparing for the weekend and Stan and I worked up a few more prototype mugs for our new line that will be available at today’s popup. NüBen has been working on prepping color sections and advancing his skills. The kid has a long way to go in every area of his life but he seems to at least be getting a grasp on the glass and his help around the studio has been noticed and appreciated.
And what about our content lately? Grace has brought our brand to the next level with her hard work behind the scenes. We’re learning together as we go and I feel like our content has been more engaging and entertaining with her help.
Speaking of content, who got their copy of The Flow Magazine - Vessels issue? I don’t yet have the words to express how grateful I am to see this come to friuition. Our community is picking up momentum and our art is reaching more people than ever before. I’m very proud of everyone who has been a part of building this cup culture in one way or another. This blog is becoming more and more challenging to write as we make our way down the hill to Denver and my eagerness about today’s show is far too distracting.
So much more to share later, and we all hope to see you at Purple Haze in Englewood from 2-5PM!
