On Sundays I reflect.
I didn’t drink alcohol this week. I think I could say I wrote that more times this year than I didn’t in this blog. That’s a good feeling.
I got on the torch a bit but not my snowboard. Snow is coming so I’m planning to ride this storm before Thanksgiving.
Stan and I made a large sculpture for fun this week. I can’t describe how good it felt to create art for art’s sake. I’ve spent most of my career making functional art, and it’s nice to approach non-functional abstract work.
It’s been a challenging few weeks financially but I’m relieved to be going home for thanksgiving for some rest and relaxation with my family. When I get back the driving job will pick back up and alleviate some stress.
I’m also getting excited for Miami Art Week again. I can’t believe it’s already here. Miami Ben is coming back before winter hibernation sets back in with driving, snowboarding, and blowing glass fully consuming me for a few months.
My friend Lindsey and I did a night of meal prep that has fed me this entire week. I’m worthless in the kitchen but grateful to have friends who help keep me alive. Thanks for that!
I’ve been in the gym most days this week but it’s been a bit challenging to self motivate. At least two mornings I slept in instead of working out.
So another week down and the year is almost over. For me it’s been a year of growth and progress, even if at a snail’s pace and a decade late.
I’m going to set up our Black Friday special for an automatic discount starting today, and want to say thank you to everyone who has supported in this challenging year. Everyone who scoops something between now and Friday will receive a gift made by me with their order.
As always enjoy your Sunday,
BB
