On Sundays I reflect.
I didn’t drink alcohol this week. I’m feeling pretty good about that.
I got behind the torch most days and that feels good too. It’s been snowing all week and the view from my lathe out the new windows is a real dream come true.
For the last two weeks I’ve been working out almost every day. Body Builder Ben is back. I’m feeling better all around but it’s also been an adjustment. I’ve taken some extra naps this week and my sleep schedule is a bit out of whack.
Today I’m heading down the hill to denver for Ubatuba’s show at Purple Haze Gallery after the weather pushed back the show from what was set for Friday. It will be fun catching up with everyone and seeing some of the most impressive work to ever surface from our scene. It’s been thrilling to watch Alex work on bits and pieces during my visits over the last few months.
Vail opens on Friday so I started getting my gear ready. I’ll get a few laps in for opening day and honestly I can’t believe it’s ski season. Let’s hope for an epic amount of snow this year.
This means holiday season is around the corner and we’re making deals to free up some shelf space. If you’re starting your gift shopping feel free to reach out about deals and unlisted work. We appreciate your support.
One last note of accomplishment before I wrap up and hit the road; I cooked dinner twice this week (and had leftovers for the rest of the week).
I almost forgot. Heather and I went to the Vail Art Guild show at the new gallery space in Avon. Ok, it’s been open since this summer but I finally had time to go by for one of their shows and I’m glad I did. I connected with local artists and enjoyed some tasty snacks. Some of the art was exciting and the place was packed.
As always thanks for tuning in,
BB
