On Sundays I reflect. I didn’t drink alcohol this week, but I had a few beers last weekend. It was the first time I drank since March.
I’ve been trying to get back to my blog for a while and haven’t seemed to be able to get anything published.
I spent five of the last six weeks traveling. I keep getting the question “is this for work or vacation?”
It’s hard to distinguish my work from vacation. I feel like I’m on a permanent vacation, and I work every day.
In the last two months I feel like I’ve seen more art than most people see in a lifetime. I attended a weekend of glass shows called Parlay in Philadelphia, New York Art Week, visited museums and galleries in Chicago and Milwaukee, more museums and galleries in Los Angeles, and then Ann Arbor.
It feels good to be back home.
I’m spending the next month on the torch as much as I can while my driving job is slow. I’ve got projects to catch up on and new ideas to explore.
Winter is almost here. Keystone and A Basin have already opened and Vail will open in two weeks. I am getting excited to get back on my snowboard again.
I want to keep writing more and to share more details about what I’ve been up to, but I’m also needing to turn my torch on and work.
As always, thanks for tuning in and enjoy your Sunday.
