Sunday 10/5/25

October 05, 2025

On Sundays I reflect.

I didn’t drink alcohol this week. This blog helps me hold myself accountable.

I’m on my way home to Vail after spending a week in Miami with my family. We observed Yom Kippur, paying mind to our transgressions and repenting for our wrong doings. It’s a heavy time for reflection.

I got to spend meaningful time with my parents, my brother and his wife, her family, and Mooza the puppy.

Kaito had me over to catch up and discuss the upcoming Miami Art Week agenda he’s planning. As always his vision is ambitious and his excitement is contagious.

On one of my mornings I had the privilege of speaking with Dan of the Fountainhead Residency in his “Art Home”. Dan let me share with him about what I’ve been doing over the last decade, and gave me advice on moving forward in developing my own arts residency program. He and Kathryn have graciously welcomed me to their Basel party over the years, and this week’s conversation provided much needed guidance for me that I highly appreciate.

A real highlight of this trip for me was the celebration of my friends Adam and Cristina who have just opened a new location for OCISLY. Their new “Art Cafe” space El Studio is a dream come true, and the immense turnout for their opening night brought all of us much joy. What they are doing is special and anyone visiting or living in Miami should prioritize making a visit to get off the phone and into the art.

I’ve got a busy week ahead playing catch up a bit. It will be nice to settle into the off season and take advantage of the quiet time to focus on work and rest. I’ve got new art from Ethan Meyer awaiting my return to put up in the gallery. I’ve got some art to hang in my new room at the house.

It feels like I’ll be traveling more than usual through the end of the year. I’m excited about upcoming trips, and even more so for ski season to be back. This year flew by!

Now I’m going to attempt to nap on a plane.

Enjoy your Sunday,

BB
