On Sundays I reflect.
I didn’t drink alcohol this week. It’s better when I don’t.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. I wish I could be with my family today, but duty calls.
I’ve been too busy to write my blog the last few weeks but today I’ll catch you up on all the latest going on.
First and foremost, we are one week away from the Denver Cup Collectors Club: Dude Where’s My Cup Show at Purple Haze in Englewood next Sunday from 2-5pm. We really can’t wait for this one! Entry is free but you must be 21 or over to attend. We hope to see you there.
Just a few weeks later on July 15 we will have our annual Vail Cup Collectors Club: Mug Mania at Bat Country Studios in Minturn. We will be posting up the details and releasing tickets for the Summer show soon so stay tuned here.
This week I had an article published in the Summer Vessels issue of The Flow Magazine along with some other incredible artists from our Drinking Vessels community. It’s especially exciting for me to see this issue focusing almost entirely on Borosilicate Drinking Vessels, after years of committing myself to just that niche. You can grab a copy at this link, which I hope you enjoy as much as I have.

At the studio I have been working to develop a new line of cups with Red Cliff Stan. Our first project has been refining a mug that we can sell for $100-125. We’ve made about five prototypes so far and have prep for two or three more on deck. Once we get these going I have a design for a shot glass, and I plan to keep working on designs for a full array of drinkware that we can offer as an in house product line.
A lot of people might be wondering what I do at the studio when I’m not on the torch. Recently a lot of my time has been spent working with Grace to create content and I feel like even though she is still learning she has taken our content to another level in the few months she has been helping out. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed it as well.
NüBen is still working hard at figuring out how to blow glass, and over the last week or two he has begun making color prep for us. So far either Stan or I have to rework everything NüBen hands us, but the kid is making progress; that’s for sure.
It feels like it has been raining here the entire month so far. It has been a bit of a bummer but it’s better than forest fires and everything around me is green and full of life. The river behind our studio is raging this season, and when the weather turns around I’m eager to spend more time outside.
Today is the last day to grab a pair of EWGG cups using code DADS for a Father’s Day BOGO special. We had a bunch of people who already took advantage of the deal, but there are still some killer EWGG left for you!
We also have some new Sunday Specials which you can see at the link here!
Catch up with me on the Instagram live streams today and we hope to see you at our upcoming shows in Denver and at the studio next month.
Enjoy your Sunday,
BB
