"I met Andrew on his first day blowing glass. He assisted me in pulling down a vac stack on the lathe, with no experience blowing glass. For reference, this is one of the hottest and more difficult techniques. Instantly, we bonded as we learned to make a production line for Huffy together, and ultimately became roommates in Bloomington, Indiana. Andrew is one of my favorite people to work with, and one of the most talented glass artists I've met." - Ben Belgrad

Andrew Gandersman aka Q Factor

Started Working With Glass:

"I learned at Volta Glass Studio under Ryan Hoffman. One of my first memories was helping the other artists in the studio on the lathes and being pretty intimidated"

Favorite Cup Maker

Hard to pick one favorite but I really enjoy Micah Evans (Corning Museum of Glass & Instagram) and Stephen Pierce's (Instagramcup and decanter series.

Favorite Cup to Make

I love making wine goblets. They have a fun process that can be altered in many interesting ways.

Favorite Drink

I like beer.

Anything else we should know?

I mainly make pipes but I always enjoy making cups.
