"Gina Gaffner is one of the raddest glass artists that I know. Her study in fruits and vegetables is one of the most interesting I've come across in glass. Not only can Gina sculpt any fruit or veggies, she also varies them through different stages in their ripened life cycle. Back when I was traveling, Gina put me up in her guest room for a month when I had nowhere else to go. It was there that we created the notorious Banana Mug, which has since been kidnapped (last seen in Southern Florida, please contact immediately if found!). Nevertheless, she decided to release her new line of solo cups here and I could not be more thrilled!" - Ben Belgrad
Blowing glass since 2007
"I started making beads at a small bead shop I once managed. A couple years passed after I made those beads before I melted glass again. I stumbled into borosilicate flameworking/glassblowing while looking for a job on Craigslist. I worked a short apprenticeship that was not really the best situation but it taught me how to turn the torch on and a few basic skills. After that, I opened a studio up with my good friends Bri and Jeff and the rest is history"
